Acronyms and Power Tools

So this morning I got it in my head that I'd like to work for the CIA. Or FBI. Or NSA. Or simply visit Unalaska, Alaska. What a name! Yeah, I'm going to start telling people that I live in Unhawai'i, Hawai'i. Think anyone will visit?

I've been chatting with a classmate who's currently working in Iraq and I thought, "Wow, look at her, working hard, serving our country AND she's a mechanic with mean power tool skills. She's awesome." I don't think I'd survive boot camp. But I wish I could do more things with power tools. Right now, I run away from anything more powerful than a hand drill 'cause I'm convinced I'll chop my hand off. Yeah, I took metal shop and wood shop in intermediate and high school. Everyone did. Once, in metal shop, I grabbed a soldering iron by the
actual iron and got some painfully white hot burns, which impaired my writing ability for a good few weeks. I never told my teacher, he would have just scolded me to for not paying attention. Instead, I smiled through the pain and spent the afternoon walking around with my hand in a make-shift bucket of ice water. Yeah, so do you think I should handle anything more than a drill?

Now, back to my desire to work for the aforementioned acronyms. Why? 'Cause it may make me feel powerful... like using power tools. Maybe it would be easier just to use power tools. I'll ask my little sister. She's good with those things.
