Again with the lessons. It was a slow weekend for me, but these are the things I learned:
Friday
1) Though I would normally shave my head bald before enduring a 2 and a half hour line to eat dinner at any restaurant, if the company is good (it was) I can get over the initial fear and loathing of the wait.
2) When you're waiting in line for 2 and a half hours, even a lame "fight" pouring out of a bar's stable gates could seem interesting.
Saturday
3) I can never have enough spicy ahi.
4) My mother says that I shouldn't eat too much spicy ahi because too much raw fish isn't good for me.
Sunday
5) My sister likes the laundry mat. I like the fact that I can do 5 loads of laundry at once.
6) Anything cooked well and smothered in a rich butter sauce can taste phenomenal.

Yes, a 2 hour wait for dinner does seem near impossible these days in a world of get-everything-and-anything-you-want-when-u-want-it, howerver, it was kinda refreshing to just be with friends. Not with friends trying to get somewhere or do something; just being with. I heard that in Albania, at around sundown, their inhabitants go out and just walk around, not nessecarily for exercise either, just to wave to their friends or chat with a buddy that they didn't intend to meet, but simply came across. We need to somehow foster this sense of old community where we just are together, and are happy. So, see you out on the pavement at around sundown. :)
