Movies and Riesling

Happy Monday! So, this weekend I learned...

Friday

1) I can spend an entire evening on Ward Avenue (without D&B) and not get bored.
2) This series of Friends of Film Fridays at the Doris Duke Theater (which is in the Honolulu Academy of Arts) has some pretty cool movies.
3) There are many ways to cook a steak. I prefer kim chee rather than daikon.

Saturday

4) Back to the gym for me?
5) I've missed Vino and I've stayed away for far too long. I love the chef. I want to marry the chef. D.K. is it you? No... wait... who was that guy who came out of the kitchen?? That wasn't D.K.! Who are you? Will you marry me? And cook for me? Forever?
6) Chuck Furuya's German Riesling (
CF Riesling Kabinett “Graacher Domprobst” 2004)
has been added to my list of favorites.

Sunday
7) Back to the gym for me (I thought).
8) Sunday morning football with breakfast at Kanpai is better than I'd anticipated. It has been added to my list of "I-wouldn't-mind-doing" things on Sunday morning.
9) I've missed the public library and a quick visit was enough to woo me back. If your card is inactive for 5 years, they deactivate it and you're wiped from existence. At least in their computer system. A new card with a new existence is free. Kurt Vonnegut, here I come!
