Read all about it!

For this glorious Friday morning, I bring you a taste of what's in the news today...

Vladimir Putin
receives a rare Ussuri (aka Siberian) tiger cub for his birthday. I've always enjoyed gifts that can grow up to eat me.

Venezuela's tax agency has temporarily
closed over 100 McDonald's today. Arcos Dorados, "golden arches" in Spanish, is having a bad day.

There's a new machine that
prints sheets of light. Sheets of light! Can I get that like wallpaper?

Hollywood has named their
choice for hottest awkward teen. Move over, Napolean. Wait, he was never hot, just awkward. Poor kid.

A Dutch company is
cultivating algae for biofuel. Those Dutch are always a step ahead with the green stuff!

And, with the end of another trying week, I offer you this
Weekly World Quiz. I didn't do so well. Hey, I didn't hear that stuff on "Wait Wait... Don't Tell Me!"

I'm disturbed that the tiger cub was chillin on a tiger print basket. It's like saying "Hey, we took you away from your mama but here, lie down in a basket that resembles her." Well, at least Putin is thinking about giving her to a zoo. I was worried that he was going to keep the tiger cub like you would a stray kitten. Buy some catnip, a litterbox, food and you're good to go.
