Yogurt, Joghurt, Jogurt.

Here's my "I learned..." (short) list from a relatively uneventful weekend:

Friday

1) Today I bought 5 pounds of coffee at Costco. I need help. Hello, my name is Lei Ana and I'm a coffeeholic. I have an excuse, though, we have 6 coffee drinkers in my house!
2) While I always knew that the $1.50 Costco dog dinner was a great deal, it's a total STEAL when you can get roadside seats to the parking lot wars. I enjoyed my kosher frankfurter while the parking lot gods played the pawns on their board. Bumpers bumping, horns blaring, people thumping cars as if they're over sized melons, ripe for the picking. Dinner and a show, good times.

Saturday

3) Eggplant, if first grated like cheese, can cook down to make an interestingly new pasta sauce. I'd not made an eggplant sauce before. It's not bad! I just might try to recreate it.
4) Streaming the UH football game to a computer with a large monitor is just as good as getting it on TV, and cheaper too. Did you know it costs $50 for pay-per-view to your TV? It's $12 to stream it online.
5) Adding shaved dark chocolate to plain American yogurt tastes NOTHING like the stracciatella joghurt that I fell in love with when I visited Germany. That made me sad.

Sunday

6) If you need new spoons and ONLY spoons, they will be VERY difficult to find. You won't find them at Sears, Macy's or Ross. Head to Don Quijote (or Holiday Mart, as I still call it).
7) Boston Cream Pie flavored yogurt tastes NOTHING like Boston Cream Pie. Damn them.
